Exhibitor´s Manual
In the past few years, the Colombian mining industry has become one of the most dynamic sectors in the country. This is reflected in the rate of economic growth, as well as the increase in exports which represent just over 20% of Colombia’s total exports, and foreign investment in the sector (currently one billion dollars).
This increased business interest in the Colombian mining sector is a result of the macroeconomic policies of the Colombian government, which are supported through Colombia’s democratic security policy and investor confidence. These elements have stimulated private investment with improved incentives and tax conditions.
One of our objectives is to offer these participants the opportunity to exchange knowledge and technological advances.
The exhibition will be held in the expo center located in the plaza mayor in the city of Medellin. It will have ample indoor space in order to set up exhibition booths, as well as an adjacent outdoor space to display equipment and heavy machinery.
We cordially invite your company to be a part of the Colombian mining fair, being held for its fourth consecutive year. Given the success of previous years and increased mining activity in Colombia we feel obligated to expand such an important event.
Location
White and yellow pavilion of the expo center, “Plaza Mayor” of Medellin.
1. INDOOR BOOTH
Value per sq.mt | US$ 270 | COP$ 450,000 |
Each indoor booth includes:
- White paneling 1 meter wide and 2.40 meters high
- Individual bordering with the name of your company (excluding logo)
- 110 watt electrical connection with grounding.
- Three chairs and one table
- 25 invitations with access to the fair. (Non-transferable; people invited by exhibitor do not have access to the conference rooms).
- 3 participant id´s for each 9 square meter stand. Of the three id´s, only one person per booth is permitted to attend the xiv congress of Colombian mining and its social events.
- Listing in the expo guide.
The minimum booth space for sale is 9 square meters. If you rent 2 or more consecutive booth please notify the organizers if you wish your space to come with the appropriate divisions or as a double booth.
2. OUTDOOR BOOTH (Heavy Equipment exhibition)
Value per sq.mt | US$ 150 | COP$ 250,000 |
Each indoor booth includes:
- A 3m x 3m tent
- Individual bordering with the name of your company (excluding logo)
- 110 watt electrical connection with grounding.
- Three chairs and one table
- 25 invitations with access to the conference. (Non-transferable; people invited by the exhibitor do not have access to the conference rooms). If more invitations are needed, they will be given out at the discretion of the organizing committee.
- 3 participant id´s for each 9 square meter booth. Of the three id´s, only one person per booth is permitted to attend the xiv congress of Colombian mining and its social events. In the event that you need more, they will be given at the discretion of the organizing committee.

- Booth set up permits: these will be assigned in accordance with the petition given by the exhibitor and availability. Said permit is only valid for assembly and tear down.
The minimum booth space for an outdoor booth is 25 square meters.
Set up: November 18th, 2008 from 8:00 am to 8:00pm
Event: 19th-21st of November 2008 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Tear down: November 21st 8:00pm-11:00pm and November 22nd 8:30 am to 2:00 pm
PAYMENT:
Wire transfers or money orders are accepted in either US dollars or Colombian pesos payable to Asociacion Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia (ANDI).
