Our goal is to bring together mining companies and businesses interested in the acquisition and / or participation in Colombian mining projects. This offers parties the opportunity to present and discuss the registered projects approved by the mining opportunity investment portfolio of the Colombian mining and energy ministry and the project bank of the government of Antioquia.

The mining opportunity investment portfolio is an initiative of the mining and energy ministry – mme- where mining companies register their project(s) that must comply with certain requisites.

The portfolio itself is a great opportunity for businesses that wish to negotiate whether it be with people or companies both national and foreign that have envisioned mining as a way to expand and / or improve their business.

Proexport is a supporting sponsor of the business round tables

The methodology of the business round tables is as follows:

1. Mining project pre-registration in the mining opportunity investment portfolio or in the project bank of the government of Antioquia.

2. The requirements to access the portfolio have been reviewed by an approved entity (the national university of Colombia). Mining companies present the requirements. Once the initial procedure has been completed, it becomes part of the mining opportunity investment portfolio.

3. The projects guaranteed by these institutions will be promoted to investors through agencies and commercial offices of proexport and Colombian embassies.

4. Based on investor interest on the projects offered, meetings will be arranged between the parties.

Registration includes:

• Registration of the mining project in the business round table.
• Consultancy in the business round table with personal specialized technicians.
• Simultaneous translation if required.
• 3 id´s to attend Colombia mining Congress 2009, one as a participant and two as guests. Only those that have participant id´s may participate in the Colombian mining congress, the other two may only visit the fair.
