Colombia Mining 2010

Additionally of the participants and attendees the International Mining Show 2010 had the presence of the national mining institutionally (Ministry of Mines and Energy, and Government of Antioquia) explorers companies, mining producing companies and manufacturers of parts, tools, distribution, marketing, promotional activities and value added services, all of them related to mining exploration and exploitation and related sectors, as well as national and international lecturers and journalists. During the three days of V International Mining Show gathered more than 6,000 people.

The 6th Mining Show was very well received both nationally and internationally, performing the trade shows at Exhibition Palace - Plaza Mayor in Medellin with two pavilions: White and Yellow. Within this show were exhibited mining producing companies, suppliers of equipment, machinery and services for the mining sector, with over 177 companies linked with booth. Of the companies in the exhibition a high percentage were Colombian, however, had presence companies from Bolivia, China, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, United States and United Kingdom, among others.

The XV Colombian Mining Congress

The XV Colombian Mining Congress was part of Colombia Minera 2009, to provide a springboard for the topics that require maturation in the country to resolve the challenges imposed by the companies that are entering to Colombia. The themes developed were: sustainable mining, initiative for transparency in the extractive industry, Corporate Social Responsibility CSR, Colombian mining code reform, International economic crisis and its importance to the mining sector and finally technological mining developments. The XV Colombian Mining Congress had a total of 248 attendees and 53 speakers.

Contacts and Business

The Contacts and Business meetings constituted a great opportunity for mining entrepreneurs gain recognition, dissemination and promotion of their projects to domestic and foreign investors who attended the VI Show with interest in developing business opportunities.
